Elad Aybes

Elad Aybes, 35, Israel. I have a BA in Television and New - Media from the Tel - Aviv University.

When people ask me what I am more?: a computer expert or a photographer, the answer is somewhat complicated: I have a background in programming, and technology. However, I have the drive for visual creativity:  photography and editing of stills and video.

More from the school periods, I was deeply occupied by Boy Scout training, event photography, and construction and operation of a websites which combined both information and interactive community contents. The idea (innovative at the time) flourished, and is incorporated till today in the younger generation Boy Scouts.

My intuition clearly led me to enhance my abilities of developing new technologies and interactive pieces while learning to directing and filming of TV and New - Media in the film department at Tel – Aviv University.

I created an innovative exhibition based on visual recognition technology that was presented world-wide (London, Rome, Vienna, Berlin).

 

Use to work for TV productions (including TV series, music videos and promos) as a camera man and director, independent art films, promoting galleries, and develop websites - and also combine all of these together.

For the past 6 years I've been working for Greenpeace and saving our planet, doing digital work that includes branding, campaigning, fundraising, social media, photography, videography, PPC, building websites, email marketing, and more.

During that period, I moved for a secondment in Greenpeace International as a digital strategist for PeopleVsOil campaign, there I delivered live broadcasts, tested the new Facebook algorithm, created international videos in several languages, created IG filters and more.

 

So when people ask me if I'm a computer expert or artist, I answer: I am an artist campaigner and innovative marketer.
